CCYHL

2010-2011 Season

MIDGET AA HOCKEY

The CCYHL has made changes to the 2010/2011 Midget seasons.  CHC’s Major and Minor AA’s teams will participate in the league.  We feel this gives midget players the opportunity to play a full, highly competitive CCYHL League Schedule while also allowing the opportunity to play for their CHSAA High School hockey team without any major conflicts or player burn out.

CHC Midget Major AA & Midget Minor AA:

  •  Short season, would last 12-13 weeks, full league schedule.
  •  CHC Midget Tryouts may begin August 20th with conditioning camps prior.
  •  CCYHL League season to begin approximately September 3rd.
  •  CCYHL League season ends Sunday November 28th.
  •  Playoffs start Thurs. Dec. 2 and end Sunday Dec. 5.
  •  ALL FULL ICE PRACTICES.
  •  As a result of the CCYHL adopted Midget hockey model, this team will only compete in the Arapahoe Early Bird tournament during the CCYHL season due to the number of league games to be played prior to the league playoffs Dec 5th. This tournament is included in the ice fee’s.
  •  No restrictions on entering tournaments after league ends, team decision.
  •  It’s anticipated that these teams will be very competitive in the CCYHL and will have a chance to win state and play at USA Hockey Nationals in March 2011.  CHC’s goal is to qualify both of these teams for Nationals.
  • If the team qualifies for nationals or decides to continue to play together, an additional ice fee assessment will be added.
  • The roster for this team will be limited to 20 players.

CHC Midget Major A:

  •  CHC Midget Tryouts may begin August 20th
  •  Would be a tournament team only, no CCYHL league play due to the fact that CCYHL Midget Major A will be a full season and create conflicts with the CSHAA season.
  •  4 tournaments (not included in the ice fee’s).
  •  Scrimmages
  •  Full Ice practices
  •  Last 12-13 weeks
  •  If the team decides to continue to play together, they can rent ice through CHC (additional cost).
  • No restrictions on entering tournaments after league ends, team decision.
