Q: What is the correct age to get started?

A: Most kids will start between the ages of 5-8, however kids can start as low as 3.  There is not an upper limit on when a kid can start hockey.  There are teams for each age level and all ability levels.

Q: How do we get started?

A: Travel tryouts for ages 10 an up for the upcoming season are normally ran in August.  For younger kids, it is ok to start in mid-season.  Look for information on the registration tab in regards to signing up for CHC's tryout schedule.  If you are looking to start mid season it is best to send an email to the hockey director so a fair evaluation can be done and you can be placed on the appropiate team.  The CHC hockey director can be reached at hockeydirector@coloradohockeyclub.com.

Q: What are the age groups/levels of youth hockey?

• Mites U8: 3-8
• Squirts U10 9,10
• Peewees U12 11,12
• Bantams U14 13,14
• Midgets U16/U18 15-18  (Midgets are seperated further into Minor 15,16 and Major 17,18)
